You may remember we re-decorated Joseph's room last year and Katie protested that it wasn't fair!  Her's was 'manky' apparently and now, following a rather nasty comment from another child, we have realised that we cannot put off Katie's room makeover any longer.

We moved into our house 2 weeks before I had Joseph when Katie was 3.  Her room,  naturally, was the first to be decorated.  Pink walls, pink carpet, pink curtains and a white ceiling - well, with all the reflections from the walls, even that looked pink!

Roll on nearly 7 years and the carpet has felt tip stains and the wall paper is ripped a bit and we have had to fill in some holes in the wall where shelves were moved etc etc.  You get the picture - it needs a total revamp.  As Katie will be 11 in July and starting High School in September, she is wanting a more 'tweenager-ish' look (if that's a word!)

She has her eye on a high sleeper bed with futon and desk underneath, but finding a suitable one is proving tricky.  I am looking at the wooden type as they seem a bit more stable.  However, this means that I will have to buy it all separately and where Wedo may come in rather handy!

This is the Steens High Sleeper bed that Katie likes the look of.

Teamed up with the Heartlands futon bed here - in pink, of course!

Katie has chosen the glittery butterfly wallpaper at the top of this post, for one wall but is still deliberating on the colour for the other three.  As it is half term for us next week, Daddy on the Edge decided to be pro-active and book some days off - I'm still in shock.  I am sure he had days out planned though and not re-decorating Katie's bedroom.

As well as the bedroom furniture and beds, Wedo stock a fantastic range of sofabeds and feature the range of Click-Clack sofabeds that would look fantastic in any lounge and provide that necessary extra bed for when you have unexpected guests.  Or, in our case, would suit Daddy on the Edge when he decides to fall asleep on the sofa instead of coming to bed!

It went up really easily Lisa. Considering it was £16 per roll.... I suppose you get what you pay for!!

The Steens High Sleeper bed looks great, especially the color.

Yes, she still wants it, but I'm trying to persuade her to just go for the futon... she's not impressed!
